Frequently Asked Questions

  • 316 grade stainless steel is the recommended standard for any application involving continuous water contact, including pools, fountains, and water walls. It contains molybdenum, which provides significantly better resistance to chlorine and salt compared to 304 grade. UAMW uses 316 as the default for all water feature fabrication.

  • Yes. We fabricate custom water walls in stainless steel for both outdoor and indoor applications. Wall-mounted water features can be designed to any dimension, with integrated reservoir, pump, and lighting systems. We coordinate with your mechanical and electrical trades for installation.

  • We fabricate pool coping, linear drains, and deck channels to your exact site dimensions and desired profile. Grate patterns, surface finish, and drain widths are all customizable. We work from architectural drawings or site measurements.

  • Yes. Water features in Ontario should be winterized — drained and dried — before freeze-thaw cycles set in. Stainless steel itself is unaffected by freezing, but standing water in troughs or basins can cause mechanical damage to pumps and fittings. We can advise on winterization design considerations during fabrication.

  • Yes. We fabricate 316 stainless steel pool handrails and entry rails to Ontario Building Code requirements, custom-sized for your pool configuration. These can be designed to integrate flush with pool deck surfaces for a clean, contemporary look.

  •  Custom water feature projects typically take 6–10 weeks from approved drawings to delivery, depending on complexity. Pool edging and drain systems for active construction should be ordered early to coordinate with the pool contractor's schedule.
