Frequently Asked Questions

  •  Stainless steel is the industry standard for outdoor kitchens because it resists corrosion, handles extreme temperature swings, is easy to clean, and does not rust or degrade when exposed to rain, snow, and UV. For pool-adjacent installations, 316 grade stainless is recommended for added chlorine resistance.

  • Yes. We regularly fabricate custom surrounds, cabinetry, and counter systems designed to integrate specific grill brands and models. Bring us your grill specifications and we'll build the surrounding kitchen to fit.

  • It depends on the scope. A freestanding or partially covered outdoor kitchen typically does not require a permit, but if it is attached to a structure or involves gas line work, permits may be required. We recommend consulting with your municipality or a licensed contractor for gas connections.

  • Stainless steel outdoor kitchens can be covered with breathable covers in winter to reduce surface oxidation and staining. Light cleaning with a stainless steel cleaner and cloth at the start and end of the season keeps surfaces looking sharp. Avoid steel wool or abrasive pads that can scratch the finish.

  • Most custom outdoor kitchen projects take 4–8 weeks from finalized design to delivery and installation. Lead times can extend during peak season (spring/summer), so we recommend planning in the fall or winter for spring delivery.

  • Yes. UAMW handles fabrication and installation. We coordinate site access, appliance rough-ins, and work alongside your general contractor or landscape team for a seamless installation.
